Close To The Sun Gameplay | A Tesla Inspired Bioshock On A Boat

Alice Bee takes control of this Close To The Sun gameplay, which is a horror-adventure game that looks a lot like BioShock… But Close To The Sun is set on a giant art deco boat. Close To The Sun takes a look at an alternative history where Tesla beat Edison in the science race, and all of his creative genius, inventions, and aspirations have actually become real. It takes place on a city-sized ship called The Helios, and you’re a journalist named Rose, who’s searching for her brilliant scientist sister on board. Surprisingly, it looks like an advanced experiment has gone wrong. Who could have predicted that?

This video was recorded as part of the EGX Rezzed 2019’s RPS Sessions, powered by XSplit (https://www.xsplit.com), and supported by RIG Gaming (https://www.plantronics.com/gb/en/gaming) and GamesPlanet (https://uk.gamesplanet.com).

This isn’t a Close To The Sun review, but is instead our early Close To The Sun impressions, where we learn that it has been inspired by games such as Outlast and Layers of Fear, but leans a lot more towards the adventure than the horror. Close To The Sun features a lot of problem-solving, surviving, and teamwork with an ally who’s also trapped on board. Without any way to defend yourself and no weapons, the only way to survive is by running, hiding, and thinking on your toes.
