In this video, I talk about why a ton of top tier pro players, like Tfue, Mongraal, 72hrs, and Benjyfishy, are changing their keybinds. Instead of following my old optimal keybind philosophy of having different keybinds on each finger, pros are now following a new one. The new one involves having full control of your movement while building. What I mean by this, is that if you have any builds on your index or ring finger, you’re unable to press a or d at the same time. If you have a build on your mouse button or shift or bottom row of your keyboard, then you can press it with either of your thumbs or pinky. This way you’re never forced to pick your fingers off WASD while building and can move freely while tunneling or doing advanced high ground retakes. It also makes things a lot easier and more comfortable in general to have them off WASD or as close to it as possible. By following this new philosophy for optimal keybinds, you will definitely become a better builder, improve as a player overall, and win more games!
